Okay, so I haven't been good about posting everyday.. but I'm posting now, so that counts for something right?!
Let's get down to business...
To put it simply, getting money for Christmas rocks. For Christmas, I was given cash by many different relatives and I have a feeling that many people may be in that boat as well. Naturally, all this extra money burns a hole in my pocket and I ended up hitting the shops again.
I have learned that when there is this influx of money it is SO important to choose practical pieces for your wardrobe if you're going to use that money to purchase clothing! Use this money to purchase that staple item for your closet that you'll wear with everything! The money was a gift to begin with, so why not feel even more guiltless for what you buy! Try and pick timeless pieces that are just unique enough to give your wardrobe that much-needed, holiday face-lift.
When you're shopping, be sure to grab: those cardigans you know that you'll wear with everything; staple pieces of jewelry ( I suggest a great pair of hoop earrings, some bangle bracelets, and a simple necklace that will go with everything); boots if you need them, and some cute flats you can wear anywhere; blouses that can be dressed up or down; jeans that don't look a year old--yeah, I called you out; skirts that are cute with fitted t-shirts, or dressy blouses; make up that you always run out of (powder, blush, etc.); sweaters that you can layer with during the cold weather.
Now I'm not suggesting that you really need ALL of these things, but I know that having these items make looking put-together much easier. A lot of these items can be found rather inexpensively also, so you can stretch that holiday money! With the New Year approaching it's a wonderful time to update your closet and prepare for the coming year. Try to find pieces that can carry you from winter to summer! You can easily find cute dresses and tops that you can layer with during the winter, and wear by themselves during the summer!
I hope this helped you guys! Happy shopping:)
All of my posts will start with the phrase "To put it simply," because I think that there are many things that are made more complicated than need be. This is a blog about: loving the life you live; being trendy and tasteful at the same time; loving yourself so that you can love others; doing it yourself; finding cute clothes and making them last; and most importantly putting things SIMPLY! Enjoy:)

...Me.
To put it simply, this is my first blog...EVER, I will make this my one and only blog completely about myself and my mission.
Here goes nothing.
I am a southern girl from Alabama. I have big, curly, hair and an heart that's even bigger. I am enrolled at Auburn University in the Apparel Merchandising program and I love it. I hope to own my own bridal boutique one day called "Bella Sposa" which means Beautiful Bride in Italian. I have worked in a local boutique for almost 3 years, and that is how I discovered my "passion for fashion." Yeah, I went there.
I love God, and hate sin. For this reason, I will work everyday to convince other women that they are beautiful whether they want to believe me or not. Having a confident, and positive self image these days is NOT easy, and it should be SIMPLE. We, women, were made to be beautiful. OWN IT! LOVE IT! It's okay to think you look great in that little black dress, or with that red lipstick on! Chances are, you probably do look FABULOUS, so go ahead and rock it like you know you can.
I am a college student, like I said before. That being said, budgeting is important. I know, I know...budget, schmudget. But seriously. I am going to try to come up with some great DIY projects that are cheap, and easy! If I do any, trust me, you'll be the first ones to know. Also, I have a knack for finding great deals on clothes and when I go bargain hunting, you'll be right there with me! I love finding things that look designer, but they're less expensive! I have some great ideas for how to wear one piece of clothing many different ways, and I can't wait to share. Eating is also a quintessential part of college life, so you'll be finding out what's been on...and off...my plate, too!
Hope this all sounds somewhat entertaining for you! If you think so, let me know! If not, let me know! I, however cannot WAIT to get started! See you tomorrow:)
