Okay, so I haven't been good about posting everyday.. but I'm posting now, so that counts for something right?!
Let's get down to business...
To put it simply, getting money for Christmas rocks. For Christmas, I was given cash by many different relatives and I have a feeling that many people may be in that boat as well. Naturally, all this extra money burns a hole in my pocket and I ended up hitting the shops again.
I have learned that when there is this influx of money it is SO important to choose practical pieces for your wardrobe if you're going to use that money to purchase clothing! Use this money to purchase that staple item for your closet that you'll wear with everything! The money was a gift to begin with, so why not feel even more guiltless for what you buy! Try and pick timeless pieces that are just unique enough to give your wardrobe that much-needed, holiday face-lift.
When you're shopping, be sure to grab: those cardigans you know that you'll wear with everything; staple pieces of jewelry ( I suggest a great pair of hoop earrings, some bangle bracelets, and a simple necklace that will go with everything); boots if you need them, and some cute flats you can wear anywhere; blouses that can be dressed up or down; jeans that don't look a year old--yeah, I called you out; skirts that are cute with fitted t-shirts, or dressy blouses; make up that you always run out of (powder, blush, etc.); sweaters that you can layer with during the cold weather.
Now I'm not suggesting that you really need ALL of these things, but I know that having these items make looking put-together much easier. A lot of these items can be found rather inexpensively also, so you can stretch that holiday money! With the New Year approaching it's a wonderful time to update your closet and prepare for the coming year. Try to find pieces that can carry you from winter to summer! You can easily find cute dresses and tops that you can layer with during the winter, and wear by themselves during the summer!
I hope this helped you guys! Happy shopping:)
